Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 3 item
- Crisco, melted
- sour milk or buttermilk - 1 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
- chopped prunes, stewed and mashed - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1 tsp
- allspice - 1 tsp
- cloves - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa
- flour - 2 c
- mashed potatoes optional - 1 c
- Pour batter into three greased and floured 8-inch layer pans
- egg yolk - 1 item
- powdered sugar
- coffee - 2 Tbsp
How to make prune cake:
