Pretzel salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cream cheese - 8 oz
- Cool Whip - 2 c
- crushed pineapple - 1 c
- pineapple juice - 1 c
- crushed pretzels - 2 c
- 1/2 sticks butter - 1 item
- boxes frozen strawberries - 2 oz
- large box strawberry jello - 1 item
How to make pretzel salad:
Mix together pretzels, 1/4 cup sugar and butter; press smoothly in a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 375° for 8 minutes. Cool. Cream together cream cheese, Cool Whip and sugar, then spread over crust. Heat the juice and 1 cup water to boiling. Dissolve the jello in the juice mixture, then add the frozen strawberries. When thickened, add the crushed pineapple. Pour over the cream layer and chill. Serves 12.Drain the crushed pineapple to get the 1 cup of juice needed.
