  • sugar - 3 Tbsp
  • cream cheese
  • pkg - 2 oz
  • melted margarine - 1/2 c
  • boiling water - 2 c
  • Cool Whip - 2 c
  • strawberry jello
  • crushed pretzels - 2 c

How to make pretzel salad:

First Layer:8 oz. cream cheese2 c. Cool Whip1/4 c. sugar Second Layer:6 oz. strawberry jello2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries2 c. boiling water Coarsely crush pretzels in a blender. Turn blender off and on so to not over crush pretzels. Mix with sugar and melted margarine. Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 400° for 8 minutes and set aside. Cool.

Beat cream cheese and sugar until creamy. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread on cooled crust.

Dissolve jello in hot water. Stir in frozen strawberries. Cool until it thickens. Then pour over first layer. Chill until it is set. Cut into squares and serve.
