How to make pretzel salad:
Melt butter; add 1 tablespoon sugar and crushed pretzels. Put in a 9 x 13 pan and bake at 350° for 10 minutes. Cool.Mix boiling water, gelatin and strawberries and cool to thicken. Mix cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and 8 ounces Cool Whip and spread on cooled pretzel crust. Spread thickened strawberry mix on top and top with 8 ounces Cool Whip. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
