  • milk - 1 c
  • confectioners sugar - 3/4 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • sticks butter - 2 item
  • lemon extract - 1 item
  • Cream shortening and sugar

How to make pound cake:

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one a a time. Beat well after each addition. Fold in flour and milk. Add your vanilla and lemon extract. Bake in well-greased pan at 325° for 60 to 70 minutes.Lemon Glaze Icing:2 Tbsp. lemon juice3/4 c. confectioners sugar Pour over while cake is hot.
