  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • butter - 1/2 lb
  • vanilla flavoring - 2 tsp
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • Crisco - 1/2 c
  • cake flour

How to make pound cake:

Cream together the butter and Crisco. Sift together the sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to butter mixture along with 1 cup of milk. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add vanilla flavoring. Bake in tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
