  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • self-rising flour - 1/2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • cake flour or plain flour

How to make pound cake:

Beat the sugar and Crisco for 10 minutes. Add the next 3 ingredients and mix well. Alternately add the flour and mix well after each addition. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, and mix well after each addition. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
