- stick butter - 1 item
- stick margarine - 1 item
- Crisco - 1/3 c
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Grease and flour well a 10-cup tube pan. Cream butter, margarine and Crisco for about 4 minutes. Add sugar, 1 cup at a time, and cream about 4 minutes each. Add eggs, 1 at a time, just until yellow disappears. Add flour, 1 cup at a time, alternately with milk. Add vanilla and nutmeg.
