Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- soda - 1/2 tsp
- baking powder - 3 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- large eggs - 4 item
- plain flour
- sticks butter - 2 item
- sweet milk - 1 c
How to make pound cake:
Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Cream sugar and butter. Separate eggs. Mix yellows with butter and sugar. Add dry ingredients and milk a little at a time. Beat egg whites and fold into batter. Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes. Pan should be greased and floured.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
