Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- shortening - 1 c
- all-purpose flour
- dash of salt - 1 item
- lemon juice - 2 Tbsp
How to make pound cake:
Cream shortening and sugar together. Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with eggs (one at a time). Add lemon juice, vanilla and salt. Bake in a greased and floured Bundt pan at 300° for about 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let cool slightly before removing from pan.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
