Ingredients/Components
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- butter - 1 lb
- confectioners sugar - 1 lb
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- large eggs - 7 item
- sifted all-purpose flour - 3 c
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add one egg at a time, beating well after each egg. Add vanilla to mixture and blend well. Sift flour and baking powder together and add to the mixture. Beat at medium speed for 1 to 2 minutes. Pour batter into lined greased tube pan. Bake in a preheated oven of 325° for 1 hour or until cake springs back when touched lightly with finger.
