Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- stick margarine - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- Crisco - 1 c
- lemon, almond or coconut - 1 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Cream Crisco, margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend well after each one. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. (I put flavoring in milk.)Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
