Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • lemon, almond or coconut - 1 tsp

How to make pound cake:

Cream Crisco, margarine and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Blend well after each one. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. (I put flavoring in milk.)
