Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- butter - 1/2 lb
- water - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter thoroughly. Add sugar; cream. Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 2 minutes per egg. Add water. Add flour, baking powder and vanilla. Bake in a well-greased tube pan on top shelf at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
