Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c

How to make pound cake:

Cream together salt, Crisco, and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour; add gradually to mixture; add vanilla. Beat well and bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour.
