Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- almond extract - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sticks butter - 2 item
How to make pound cake:
Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add eggs one at a time. Alternate adding milk and dry ingredients. Add flavorings last. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Place in a COLD oven. Turn to 300° and bake 2 hours.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
