Ingredients/Components
- butter - 1/3 c
- walnuts, chopped - 1/3 c
- dry mustard - 2 tsp
- caraway seed - 1 tsp
- green onions, finely chopped - 5 item
- cheddar cheese - 6 oz
- worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- Port or sherry - 2 Tbsp
How to make potted cheese:
Finely grate cheese into a bowl. Add softened butter and mix well. Stir in Port or sherry, green onions, caraway seed, mustard and worcestershire sauce. Mix very well. Scoop mixture into a serving bowl. Cover with walnuts and press them into the mixture lightly. Refrigerate at least 3 hours. Serve with crackers or melba toast.
