Ingredients/Components
- milk
- salt - 1 tsp
- butter - 6 Tbsp
- water - 2 qt
- all-purpose flour - 6 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- carrots, diced - 2 item
- celery stalks, diced - 6 item
- medium potatoes, peeled and diced - 6 item
How to make potato soup:
In a large kettle cook potatoes, carrots and celery in water until tender. Drain, reserving liquid and setting vegetables aside. In same kettle, saute onions in butter until soft. Stir in flour, salt and pepper; gradually add milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Gently stir in cooked vegetables.
