Potato skins
Ingredients/Components
- sour cream - 1/2 c
- cooking oil - 2 tsp
- 1 c - 4 oz
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- green onion - 2 tsp
- bacon, chopped - 2/3 c
- large baking potatoes - 6 item
- medium tomato, finely chopped - 1 item
- to 3 dashes Tabasco - 2 item
How to make potato skins:
Clean and bake potatoes until done. Cool. Halve each potato lengthwise. Scoop out inside of each potato, leaving approximately 1/4-inch thick shell. Combine cooking oil, chili powder and Tabasco and brush on inside of potato halves. Then cut the potato halves in half again lengthwise; return to baking sheet. Sprinkle with bacon, tomato and green onion. Top with cheese. Bake in 450° oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until cheese melts. Serve with sour cream.Recipe categories: Appetizers, Side dish, Potato.
