Ingredients/Components
- salt - 3/4 tsp
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- grated onion - 1/4 c
- oil for frying - 1 item
- potatoes, peeled - 2 lb
- dash each: nutmeg and pepper - 1 item
How to make potato pancakes:
Grate potatoes coarsely in a large bowl of ice water. Let stand 15 minutes. Mix beaten eggs, onion, flour and seasonings in a large bowl. Drain potatoes and pat dry. Stir 4 cups potatoes into egg mixture. Pour by 1/4 cup into 1/8-inch deep hot oil. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes.Recipe categories: Pancakes and waffles, Breakfast, Side dish.
