Potato cheese soup
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- freshly ground pepper - 1 item
- carrots - 1 c
- potatoes - 2 lb
- marjoram - 1/4 tsp
- celery - 1 c
- chicken stock - 1 qt
- onions - 1 c
- Cheddar cheese, cut in 1/4-inch cubes - 1/2 lb
How to make potato cheese soup:
Cut vegetables in cubes; cover with chicken stock. Add the marjoram, salt and pepper to taste. Simmer until the vegetables are cooked. Mash the mixture with a hand potato masher or put through the blender. Return to the saucepan and adjust seasonings. Bring to a boil and add the cheese.
