Ingredients/Components

  • sour cream - 1 pt
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • margarine, melted - 1/2 c
  • chopped green onions - 1/2 c
  • black pepper - 1/4 tsp
  • frozen hash brown potatoes - 2 lb
  • cornflakes, crushed - 2 c
  • can creamy onion soup - 1 item
  • shredded sharp cheese - 2 c

How to make potato casserole:

Preheat oven to 350°. Thaw potatoes and combine with 1/2 cup margarine, salt, pepper, onions, soup, sour cream and cheese. Place in a greased 9 x 13 x 2-inch casserole.

Combine cornflakes and remaining 1/4 cup margarine. Spread over potato mixture. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes. Serves 12.
