Pork chops with corn dressing
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- hot water - 1 c
- beaten egg - 1 item
- minced onion - 1 Tbsp
- pork chops - 6 item
- slices day old bread - 7 item
- yellow cream-style corn - 1 pt
How to make pork chops with corn dressing:
Put corn in mixing bowl. Add onion, egg, salt and sugar; mix. Cut bread in cubes; add to corn mixture to make stiff enough to hold shape. Brown chops; salt to taste. Drain off excess fat. Divide dressing into 6 parts; heap one part on each chop. Pour water around chops, not on dressing. Bake at 350° for 1 hour in covered dish.Recipe categories: Vegetables, Corn, Pork.
