Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cooking oil - 2 Tbsp
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- small onion, chopped fine - 1 item
- hamburger - 1/2 lb
- uncooked rice - 1/2 c
- stewed tomatoes - 1 qt
How to make porcupine balls:
Mix uncooked rice with hamburger meat, salt, pepper and onion. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Brown on all sides in cooking oil. Use covered pan. After browning, add tomatoes, cover and cook slow for about 30 minutes or until rice is tender and meatball is almost doubled in size.Recipe categories: 5 ingredients or less, Main dish, Meat.
