Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 4 item
- water - 1 c
- vegetable oil - 1/2 c
- poppy seed - 2 oz
- juice of 1 lemon
- lemon cake mix - 1 item
- instant lemon pudding mix - 1 pkg
How to make poppy seed cake:
Lemon Glaze:1/2 c. sugar juice of 1 lemon1 Tbsp. water Mix dry ingredients together. Add water and shortening, then add eggs, one at a time. Mix well after each addition. Pour into floured and greased angel food cake pan. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.While cake is baking, prepare Lemon Glaze. Remove cake from oven when finished baking. Punch holes in cake with fork and pour glaze over.
Glaze: Boil until sugar melts.
