Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • corn oil - 1 c
  • large eggs - 3 item
  • almond extract - 1 tsp
  • vanilla
  • flour - 3 c
  • poppy seed - 2 Tbsp
  • baking powder
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • milk
  • powdered sugar
  • orange juice - 1/4 c

How to make poppy seed cake:

Glaze:1 c. powdered sugar1/4 tsp. almond extract1/4 c. orange juice Preheat oven to 350°. Grease and flour Bundt pan. In electric mixer beat sugar, oil, eggs and extracts. Stir dry ingredients alternately with milk into sugar mixture beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Bake about 50 minutes. Cool cake 10 minutes. Prepare glaze. Remove cake from pan and spoon glaze over warm cake.
