Ingredients/Components

  • eggs - 2 item
  • pkg - 1 1/2
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • water - 1/2 c
  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • large onion, chopped - 1 item
  • ground chuck - 1 lb
  • sliced Mozzarella cheese - 8 oz

How to make popover pizza:

Brown meat and onion. Drain. Stir sauce mix, tomato sauce and water into meat mixture. Simmer 10 minutes. Spoon into a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Top with cheese slices.

Beat eggs, milk and oil until foamy. Beat in flour and salt until batter is smooth. Pour batter over meat filling. Spread to cover completely. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Cut into squares to serve.
