Ingredients/Components

  • ground chuck - 1 lb
  • large chopped onion - 1 item
  • envelope spaghetti sauce mix
  • can tomato sauce - 1 oz
  • water - 1/2 c
  • pkg - 1 oz
  • eggs - 2 item
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • milk - 1 c
  • oil - 1 Tbsp
  • flour - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 1/2 c

How to make popover pizza:

Brown beef and onion. Drain. Stir in sauce mix, tomato sauce, garlic and water. Spoon into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Top with cheese slices. Beat eggs, milk and oil until foamy. Beat in flour and salt until smooth. Pour batter over meat filling. Spread to cover completely. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Serve hot.
