Pocketbook rolls
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
- yeast - 1 pkg
- lukewarm water - 1 c
How to make pocketbook rolls:
Dissolve sugar and yeast in warm milk. Add 1 cup plain flour, margarine (melted) and salt. Beat by hand until fairly smooth. Add enough of remaining flour to make a stiff dough. Brush top of dough with butter. Let rise until double in bulk. Punch down. Shape and roll fairly thin. Cut with large biscuit cutter. Brush with melted butter. Fold in half and brush again.
