Ingredients/Components
- granulated sugar - 7/8 c
- water - 1 c
- juice of 1 lemon
- whole cloves - 4 item
- cinnamon stick - 1 item
- ripe plums - 2 lb
How to make plum sauce:
Bring the water, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon and cloves to a boil. Add the plums; simmer, stirring constantly, until the skins are shriveled. Remove the plums with a slotted spoon. Reduce the remaining liquid by half; strain and pour over the fruit. Allow to cool. Cover and refrigerate.Recipe categories: Fruit, Plums, Pitted fruits.
