Ingredients/Components
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- vinegar - 2 Tbsp
- ground ginger - 1/2 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1 Tbsp
- jar plum preserves - 1 oz
- chopped dried red chili pepper or 1 tsp - 1 tsp
How to make plum sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine plum preserves, vinegar, brown sugar, onion, red chili pepper or crushed red pepper, garlic and ground ginger. Bring mixture to boiling, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Cool slightly. Refrigerate in a covered container overnight to blend seasonings. Makes 1 1/4 cups.Recipe categories: Fruit, Plums, Pitted fruits.
