- green plantains green and firm - 1 item
- lots of oil - 1 item
How to make plantain chips:
Cut off both ends and make a slit down the back (the length of the plantain) so you can peel the skin off. If you have trouble peeling it, soak the whole plantain in warm salted water. Slice the plantain thin (like potato chips). Heat oil in large frying pan until hot. Fry plantains until golden brown. Salt to taste.Recipe categories: Low protein, Lunch/snacks, Snacks.
