- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- stick margarine - 1 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- lemon flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make plain cake:
Note: Have everything at room temperature.Cream together well Crisco, margarine and sugar. Add vanilla and lemon flavoring. Beat, adding one egg at a time. Combine baking powder and flour and add to mixture. Add milk and beat well. Put in greased and floured large tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes without opening the door. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.
