How to make pizzelles:
Chocolate Pizzelles: Omit anise extract, using vanilla instead. Melt 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate with butter; add as directed. Increase sugar to 2 cups and baking powder to 4 1/2 teaspoons. Proceed as directed.Cocoa Pizzelles: Add 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa along with flour. Increase sugar to 2 cups and baking powder to 4 1/2 teaspoons. Proceed as directed.
