Ingredients/Components
- salt
- butter - 2 Tbsp
- water - 3 c
- hot water - 1 c
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- grated cheese - 1/4 c
- oregano
- dry yeast - 1 pkg
- garlic - 1/2 tsp
- lukewarm water - 1/4 c
- pizza or tomato sauce - 1 item
- sausage plain
- Mozzarella cheese, grated * - 1/2 lb
How to make pizza pie:
Topping:1 lb. sausage (plain) pizza or tomato sauce1/8 tsp. pepper1/2 tsp. garlic1 1/2 tsp. oregano1/4 c. grated cheese1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, grated * Soften yeast in lukewarm water. Let stand 1 to 2 minutes. Pour hot water over butter and salt. Cool to lukewarm. Combine with yeast and stir in flour, 1 cup at a time. Beat until smooth; divide dough into two balls. Roll out and shape by pulling gently and stretching until thin. Avoid tearing. Brush with melted butter. Bake for 30 minutes at 400°.*For best results, I add the Mozzarella cheese the last five minutes of baking.
