Pizza dough and sauce
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- flour - 6 c
- brown sugar - 1 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- oil - 4 Tbsp
- warm water - 2 c
- garlic powder
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- oregano - 2 tsp
- yeast - 2 pkg
- tomato juice
- butter or oil - 2 Tbsp
How to make pizza dough and sauce:
Sauce:1 qt. tomato juice2 Tbsp. butter or oil2 tsp. oregano1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. salt dash of pepper1 Tbsp. brown sugar2 Tbsp. cornstarch Dough: Mix water with yeast and sugar; let set 5 minutes. Add salt and oil. Gradually add flour; knead 8 to 10 minutes. Let rise 45 minutes. Roll out into 2 separate pizzas. Put sauce on top and top with pizza cheese. Ground beef may also be fried first and put on top of sauce, then add cheese.Sauce: Heat juice, butter, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper and sugar. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to juice. Cook until thick; boil 1 minute. Bake pizza at 325° to 350° for 20 minutes. Serves 8.
