Pizza casserole



  • pkg - 1 to
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • dash of pepper - 1 item
  • sliced mushrooms optional - 1/2 c
  • ground beef or turkey - 1 lb
  • chopped green pepper optional - 1/2 c
  • to 1 lb - 8 oz
  • can pizza or spaghetti sauce - 1 oz
  • Polish sausage, cut into bite size pieces - 1 item

How to make pizza casserole:

Select Any 2 Cheeses:1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese1 (8 oz.) pkg. sharp Cheddar cheese1 (8 oz.) pkg. Colby or Monterey Jack cheese Brown beef or turkey. Add onion, green pepper, mushrooms and Polish sausage. Drain; season to taste. Add sauce and macaroni (cooked).

Alternate in this order: meat mixture, one of the two cheeses, followed by the next choice and pepperoni. Repeat layers with cheese on top, followed by pepperoni. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes. If dry, add a little V-8 or tomato juice.

Note: Prego 3-cheese spaghetti sauce works best.
