Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 3 Tbsp
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/2 c
- baking powder
- egg yolk - 1 item
- melted chocolate - 1 oz
How to make pinwheel cookies:
Cream butter and sugar until fluffy; add egg yolk, milk and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and add gradually to creamed mixture. Divide dough into halves and add chocolate to one half. Roll white dough into a thin sheet. Roll chocolate dough the same. Place chocolate dough over white dough and press gently. Roll up as for a jelly roll, approximately 2-inches in diameter. Set in icebox for several hours to firm. Cut into thin slices and bake in a 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, < 60 mins, Cookie and brownie.
