Pineapple upside-down cake
Ingredients/Components
- packed brown sugar - 1 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- maraschino cherries - 1 item
- walnut halves - 1 item
- yellow cake mix with pudding - 1 pkg
- can sliced or tidbit pineapple - 1 oz
How to make pineapple upside-down cake:
Heat oven to 350°. Melt margarine in a 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle brown sugar and arrange pineapple, cherries and walnuts over the margarine. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Pour batter into pan. Bake until cake springs back when touched lightly in center, 45 to 55 minutes. Immediately invert pan on heatproof serving plate. Cool completely.
