  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour - 2 c
  • butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 c
  • box confectioners sugar - 1 oz
  • can crushed pineapple in heavy syrup, undrained - 1 oz
  • Mix until smooth

How to make pineapple sheet cake:

In a large bowl, combine cake ingredients. Mix until smooth. Pour into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Cool. Frost with Cream Cheese Icing.Cream Cheese Icing:1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened1 (16 oz.) box confectioners sugar1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened1 tsp. vanilla extract1/2 c. chopped nuts Combine cream cheese, sugar, butter and vanilla in a small mixing bowl. Beat until smooth. Spread over cake and sprinkle with nuts.
