  • sugar
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • oil - 1 c
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • all-purpose flour - 3 c
  • crushed pineapple, undrained - 3/4 c

How to make pineapple pound cake:

Combine oil and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients and add to oil mixture. Stir in vanilla and pineapple. Pour into a well-greased 10-inch tube pan or 12 cup Bundt pan. Set oven temperature to 300° to 325°. Bake for 1 hour or until tested done. Invert pan and let cool about 10 minutes. Remove cake carefully. Cool completely. Sprinkle 10x powdered sugar on cake before serving, if desired.
