Pineapple bars



  • sugar
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • baking soda - 2 tsp
  • powdered sugar
  • chopped walnuts - 1/2 c
  • cream cheese, softened
  • stick margarine, softened - 1 item
  • can crushed pineapple, undrained in its own juice - 1 oz

How to make pineapple bars:

Cream Cheese Frosting:1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened1 stick margarine, softened1 1/2 c. powdered sugar1 1/2 tsp. vanilla1/2 c. chopped walnuts Cake: Mix all ingredients, except walnuts. Stir in walnuts. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes. Top will be very dark brown. Test with toothpick. Frost when cooled.

Frosting: Mix all ingredients, except walnuts. Stir in walnuts. Spread on cooled cake.
