Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- flour - 5 c
- cold water - 1 item
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- Crisco
How to make pie crust:
Combine flour, shortening, salt and baking powder in large bowl. Mix well with pastry blender or fork. Lightly beat egg in cup; add vinegar and enough cold water to make 1 cup. Beat lightly. Add to dough mixture in parts and mix until blended and ready to roll. Can refrigerate before rolling if desired.This will make three 2 crust pies or 5 pie shells. You can shape in balls and freeze until ready to use.
