Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- vinegar - 1 c
- mustard - 1/2 Tbsp
- thinly sliced onion - 1/4 c
- thinly sliced cucumbers - 2 c
- turmeric saffron - 1/8 tsp
How to make pickles:
Let vegetables stand in weak brine (1/4 cup salt to 1 quart water) to cover, overnight. Drain. Heat remaining ingredients to boiling point. Add vegetables and bring slowly back to boil. Remove from stove and seal in sterilized jars.Recipe categories: Low protein, Snacks, Vegetables.
