Ingredients/Components

  • water - 1 c
  • vinegar - 8 c
  • cloves garlic - 10 item
  • plain salt - 3/4 c
  • very small okra 1 to 2-inches - 4 lb
  • pods small hot red or green pepper - 10 item
  • dill and celery seed optional - 1 item

How to make pickled okra:

Note: Need 8 small mouth pint jars. Leaving short stems on okra, pack in hot clean jars. Put one clove of garlic and one hot pepper in each jar. Heat vinegar, salt and water until boiling. Pour over okra and seal. Let stand 8 weeks. Makes 10 pi
