Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 2 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • cloves garlic - 5 item
  • celery salt - 1 Tbsp
  • white vinegar - 1 qt
  • pods hot pepper - 5 item
  • tender fresh okra - 2 lb

How to make pickled okra:

Wash okra and pack in hot pint jars. Put 1 pod of pepper and 1 clove of garlic in each jar. Mix other ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over okra and seal.

Okra pickles should stand two weeks before using. Chill. Wonderful for dieters.
