Ingredients/Components
- salt - 6 Tbsp
- water - 1 qt
- cloves garlic - 5 item
- celery seed - 6 Tbsp
- mustard seed - 6 Tbsp
- hot red pepper - 1/2 tsp
- pods hot pepper - 5 item
- okra small - 3 lb
How to make pickled okra:
Pack in 5 pint jars small tender okra, 1 garlic clove and 1 pod hot pepper. Place remaining ingredients in heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over okra. Seal. Process in hot water bath for 10 minutes. Let stand for 2 weeks before opening.Recipe categories: American, North american, Kwanzaa.
