Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/3 c
  • water - 1 qt
  • white vinegar - 1 pt
  • dill seed - 2 tsp
  • small okra pods
  • small hot peppers - 3 item
  • garlic buds - 1 item

How to make pickled okra:

Pack okra firmly in hot sterilized jars. Put a garlic bud in each jar. Meanwhile, combine vinegar, water, salt, peppers and dill seed and bring to a boil. Pour the boiling brine into jars over okra. Adjust caps and seal. Yields 4 to 5 pints.
