Pickled okra
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1/3 c
- water - 1 qt
- white vinegar - 1 pt
- dill seed - 2 tsp
- small okra pods
- small hot peppers - 3 item
- garlic buds - 1 item
How to make pickled okra:
Pack okra firmly in hot sterilized jars. Put a garlic bud in each jar. Meanwhile, combine vinegar, water, salt, peppers and dill seed and bring to a boil. Pour the boiling brine into jars over okra. Adjust caps and seal. Yields 4 to 5 pints.Recipe categories: American, North american, Kwanzaa.
