Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1/2 c
  • water - 1 c
  • cloves garlic - 6 item
  • okra - 3 lbs
  • dill seed - 6 tbsp
  • quart vinegar - 1 item
  • pods hot pepper - 6 item

How to make pickled okra:

Mix vinegar, water, and salt together and bring to a boil. Pack pint jars with okra. To each pint add: 1 clove, garlic, 1 pod hot pepper, 1 tbsp. dill seed. Pour hot mixture over and seal.

Makes about 6 pints. It will be ready to eat in about 3 weeks.
