Ingredients/Components
- quart water - 1 item
- cup salt - 1/3 item
- tsp dill seed - 2 item
- pint distilled white vinegar - 1 item
- small hot peppers optional - 3 item
- 1/2 lbs small okra pods - 3 item
- clove garlic per jar - 1 item
How to make pickled okra:
In pot, mix together and boil as brine:vinegar, water, dill seed, salt, and hot peppers. Wash and prepare okra. Pack okra and garlic tightly into hot, sterilized jars. Pour brine over okra in jars. Seal and process in boiling bath for 10 minutes. Ripen several weeks before opening.Recipe categories: American, North american, Kwanzaa.
