Ingredients/Components
- fresh basil leaves, coarsely chopped - 2 c
- olive oil - 1/2 c
- fresh parsley, chopped - 1/2 c
- large garlic cloves, chopped - 4 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1 tsp
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 1/2 c
How to make pesto sauce:
Place all ingredients, except cheese, in food processor; process with on/off turns until smooth. Stir in cheese. Serve pesto over cooked pasta; use as dressing for potato salad. Mix with rice. Use in soup or as a topping for vegetables. Makes 6 servings.Note: Stays about 3 months in refrigerator, or you can freeze it.
